John Meillon is most famous for his role as Walter Reilly in the Australian film "They're a Weird Mob" released in 1966. Some of his other notable movies include "Crocodile Dundee" (1986) and "Tribute" (1980), where he showcased his versatility as an actor. In "Crocodile Dundee," Meillon shared the screen with fellow famous Australians, Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski.

John Meillon was the son of father Murray Meillon and mother Kate Meillon. He had a brother named Peter Meillon. Meillon married Australian actress Bunny Gibson in 1958. They had three children together but unfortunately divorced in 1971. Meillon grew up in Mosman, Sydney, and spent most of his life in Australia. He passed away on August 10, 1989, in Australia.


Outside of acting, John Meillon was also known for his love of sailing. He owned a yacht named "Crusader" and enjoyed spending time on the water.
