Heath Ledger was born on April 4, 1979, in Perth, Western Australia. In his early life, Ledger attended Guildford Grammar School, where he excelled in sports and drama. He began his acting career in local theater productions before making his way to television and film.


Heath Ledger gained international recognition for his portrayal of the Joker in the film "The Dark Knight" (2008), for which he posthumously won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Some of his other notable movies include "Brokeback Mountain" (2005) and "10 Things I Hate About You" (1999).

Family Life

Heath Ledger's parents are Kim Ledger and Sally Ledger Bell. He had three sisters: Kate Ledger, Ashleigh Bell, and Olivia Ledger.
